Indian Village Mission

Isaac Santhaian / IVM Building Fund

Indian Village Mission is a home in Chennai, India, fulfilling daily needs and providing hope for about 20 boys. Our aim is to empower these vulnerable children, helping them become responsible, independent, and strong in faith. Over the past 25 years, we have served about 200 children, many now working as mechanics, electricians, builders and caterers.

Life Story:  Arun was brought to us when he was 6. With our parental care, he thrived in our orphanage, completing schooling at the age of 17. We then helped him to fulfil his dream of becoming an electrician. He is now fully independent and married with a son of his own.

Our modest facility currently provides only 2 rooms for 20 boys and the staff.  We wish to elevate the care of these boys and therefore plan to construct an additional building with a bedroom, kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms.  The project will cost $125,600. A generous donor has agreed to match any donation made to this fund. Please consider making a matched donation to bless the children like Arun.  Thank you!

About Indian Village Mission

INDIAN VILLAGE MISSION

The Vision:

"to care and Create opportunity to the unprivileged" -  Matthew: 25:40

The Purpose of Indian Village Mission:

The Purpose and the Mission of Indian Village Mission are to provide education, shelter, food in order to empower the vulnerable children who are denied of their basic needs and right of education. Through the empowerment, the children can become responsible, independent, and faithful citizens of our country. Our final goal is to make them disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Origin of the Ministry:

Indian Village Mission Home was started for the orphans who lost their parents. In 2000 God gave a vision to start the home for the homeless children in India for the under privileged children.

Location of Indian Village Mission:

The Indian Village Mission Children’s Home is located in Southern part of India placed called Tiruvallur 40 miles from Chennai Airport. It is also very close to a major metropolitan area called Chennai, Indian Village Mission have only one small building that can be accommodated 20 children.

What we do:

We provide care for orphans. Most of the children come through Missionaries referrals from different villages. The Children must be verified and approved by government Officials (Who are called CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT OFFICERS). They come with a wide variety of backgrounds; abusive situations, street children, real orphans. We strongly believe the Lord sends them to our children Home so we do our best to nurture them and also not to turn any of them down.

Once they complete the schooling we give them vocational training through which they get training and become independent to survive on their own. Likewise we have empowered more than 100 boys who are working in many companies, industries, as electrician, plumbers, builders.
